from

small beginnings

Since 1983

Ranmore Service and Engineering (formerly known as Royce Service & Engineering) was formed back in 1983 when Paul Brightman and Patrick Lloyd-Jacob previously trained by Jack Barclay, the London Rolls-Royce agents, set up their own service, restoration and repair shop in Ashtead, Surrey. They soon earnt a reputation for being the 'go to' independent specialists for all things Rolls-Royce and Bentley. By 2001 the operation had outgrown its two original Ashtead sites and it relocated to its current premises in Betchworth, Surrey. The introduction of car sales, restoration and parts supply to both private customers and the trade soon followed.

2022 saw a further step change when the business became part of the Ranmore Group which is headed up by Jonathan Tait and Humaid Masaood – two long-standing car enthusiasts whose business interests include motorsport, historic cars and main dealerships for leading marques. This next chapter will see considerable investment in building on Paul and Pat's legacy with new developments already underway. Paul and Pat continue to be an active part of the operation.
